be a 'garden buddy'
These volunteer opportunities happen on weekdays between 9am and 3pm, so it won't suit everyone's schedule.
We are especially interested in volunteers with experience working with pre-school or young children.
We will provide training, but we are especially eager to find volunteers who are interested in taking leadership. You will be paired up with a daycare centre as a "garden buddy" - to help daycare leaders provide garden activities for the 'little farmers."
You should have at least some experience with young children even if it’s just being a parent, grandparent, etc. and some experience growing veggies (but no need to be an expert!)
How much time is required? It can be anywhere from a few hours here and there to as much as you want!
