Grades 1 to 3
Part 1
A presentation followed by an interactive game that explores various curricula topics from Life Systems. Students will learn what is needed to make a balanced and resilient food forest by deciding what is needed in their food forest and rearranging themselves in groups. Topics like biodiversity, interconnectedness, resilience (droughts, cold snaps, climate changes etc) and plant traits as well as specialties will be explored through the presentation and game.
Part 2
Optional visit in the spring to a local food forests with educational & interactive activity.
