Worm Composting
We will come to your classroom for this fun, hands-on demonstration where students will learn about a healthy environment. This activity fits nicely with numerous points in the curriculum including living things, soil, habitats, energy conservation, waste reduction and other concepts. It is approximately 30 minutes long (and if possible we like to have an extra 10 minutes at the end for questions/reflections).
Please note that for schools more than 20 kilometres, and up to 40km, from downtown Sudbury, we require a minimum of 3 classes or at least 60 students booked on the same day to make the trip. For schools more than 40 km from downtown Sudbury, we require a full day booking (minimum 6 classes or at least 90 students) . We can provide a scheduling template to help coordinate booking of multiple classes.
